Dr. Andrew Clark
QEP Director and Associate Director, Center for Research on Teaching and Learning Excellence, University of Texas at Arlington
Dr. Andrew M. Clark is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication. He leads the Professional Learning Community (PLC) program which is in its third year and currently has 30 faculty and staff working together to enhance and assess teamwork in their courses. He led the creation of an Open Educational Resource Student Teamwork Guide which is currently being used by over 6,000 students in First Year Experience and Transfer Courses across the university. He has won awards for his teaching, and was recently a finalist for the Outstanding Assessment Practice award at UTA for his work on the aforementioned projects and other initiatives.
Dr. Michelle Singh
Assistant Commissioner of Digital Learning, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
Dr. Michelle Singh serves as the Assistant Commissioner of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's Division of Digital Learning. The division is the newest division of the THECB and is designed to provide leadership and advocacy for digital learning in higher education and promote, sustain, and advance a quality digital student experience positioning Texas as a world leader and resulting in globally competitive digitally proficient citizens. Dr. Singh is sought out for keynotes and presentations across the nation on the topics of digital transformation, pioneering distance learning practices, effective managerial strategies, and inventive digital learning approaches.
Dr. Singh is a leader in the field of digital learning and is currently serving as Chairperson of the Board for the Texas Distance Learning Association and serves on the Advisory Board for the United States Distance Learning Association and previously served as the Chair of the Texas A&M University System Council for Academic Technology and Innovative Education, Chair of the Learning Technology Advisory Committee for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and Chair of the South Texas Higher Education Regional Council.
Throughout Dr. Singh's 20 year tenure in higher education, she has received numerous accolades and awards for her contribution to the advancement of the field of digital learning including the USDLA International Outstanding Leadership Award, the TxDLA Don Foshee Leadership Award and Outstanding Commitment to Excellence and Innovation in Distance Learning. She was also recognized for the TAMUCC College of Education and Human Development Achievement Distinction, and recently received the Corpus Christi Top Under 40 honor. Dr. Singh attained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's of Education degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Texas-Pan American, legacy institution of the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Dr. Singh is a strategic visionary that has led many digital learning initiatives and has greatly impacted the profession.
