Concertino for 21 Players is written in three movements for orchestral winds or small wind ensemble with percussion. The work exhibits neo-Classical characteristics in terms of its forms, rehance on thematic statement and development, emphasis on pitch centers, number of movements, and instrumentation. The instrumentation of Concertino for 21 Players is similar to the winds and brass of a symphony orchestra as well as to those of a small wind ensemble. As such, they constitute a concertino of instruments.
