dc.description.abstract | In this thesis, three methods for inference for the Burr Type X distribution shape parameter are presented. Some background on the Burr Type X distribution is given and the methods used for inference are also described within this thesis. A simulation study is conducted to assess the performance of the three methods, and their performances are compared. | |
