It is my objective in this thesis to design facilities for recreational activity at Texas Tech University. It should be the nature of these facilities to serve the entire university family and to offer a complete and excellent service in this realm of activity. My objective is to design facilities to meet the immediate recreational needs of the university. Intra-murals and "free time" recreation are definite considerations to the design approach. It is my purpose, in this program, to illustrate the inadequacies of the current facilities, and to set priorities for space requirements as a solution to the problem.
