dc.description.abstractThe mission of the project is to provide inspiring, memorable, and beguiling spaces for performances in music, theater, dance, and visual art. Three performance spaces and on art gallery will be the main focus of the building. Located on Texas Tech University campus, the building will promote the values and pedagogies of the academic institution while at the sometime invite public participation and visitation. The building will inspire students' Imagination and creativity. Since one of the missions of the College of Visual and Performing Arts is the promotion of professionalism, the building will also show traveling performances and display professional traveling exhibits. The center will be unlike other academic buildings because it will be a place for public performances, reaching out and enriching the surrounding community.
