The purpose of the study was to assess the relationship of numerous demographic and external variables to time and energy consumption during clothing care. The purpose was achieved through an analysis of data and information obtained by the NE-113 Family Time-Use Study research instruments which included a household code form, a questionnaire, and a time-use record form. Information relevant to the study from the research instruments can be found in Appendices A, B, and C, respectively.
