At present tlme, Stapleton International Airport in Denver, Colorado, is a greatly overburdened air transportation facility. It is the only major international airport in the area, and is growing substantially in air traffic and passenger use year by year. As this rate continues to increase.lt is forseen that the airport will not be able to sufficiently accommodate the great number of people in need of the airports' services. Several expansion programs have been implemented in order to alleviate some of the congestion that is presently being felt, and past additions to Stapleton, which at one time seemed to suffice, are no longer enough to keep the high volumes of traffic moving at a smooth pace.
