| dc.description.abstract | As a graduate student, I wasn't sure how to translate my work into a conference proposal. Admittedly, I still struggle with this, and I've seen this in the graduate students I've managed. I'd like to organize a BOAF specifically for graduate students to introduce themselves, highlight why they're getting their degree, share a project they're working on either in a professional position or from coursework, and have an opportunity to share their successes/challenges. My hope is that they'll feel more comfortable presenting with other graduate students who might have similar experiences and not feel as daunted. Maybe this could be a PechaKucha series instead. | en_US |
