Item A mathematical model for estimation of vertical air permeability in the unsaturated zone(Texas Tech University, 1987-08) Lee, TehfangThe zone between the ground surface and the top of the groundwater is called the unsaturated zone. The flow in the unsaturated zone interests researchers who wish to understand the movement of both fluid and contaminants from the ground surface to the water table. Problems such as assessing the groundwater pollution hazards of sanitary landfills or feedlots, estimating the results of air injection for secondary recovery of capillary water, and planning artificial recharge by surface spreading require accurate knowledge of the flow in the unsaturated zone. This research dealing with mathematical modeling of pressure changes in the unsaturated zone can provide necessary information for solving these problems.Item Secondary recovery of groundwater by air injection--a finite element model(Texas Tech University, 1987-12) Sathiyakumar, NeelakandanNot availableItem Sensitivity analysis of finite element algorithm simulating secondary recovery of groundwater by air injection(Texas Tech University, 1988-12) Leong, Kah KeongNot available
