Item Kinetic and redox studies of the copper(II)-mercaptide complexes(Texas Tech University, 1985-08) Baek, Haesun KangNot availableItem Mechanism of the reaction of thiols with selenite(Texas Tech University, 1980-05) Pan, Shu-tehAlthough selenium has now been shown to be required entirely apart from its interaction with vitamin E, the action of its prevention of deficiency diseases in animals is very intimately connected with that of vitamin E. Studies have indicated that vitamin E may be carried by a seleno-lipoprotein fraction associated with serum y-globulin. Thus one biological role of selenium appears to lie in a selenium-containing compound which acts as a carrier of vitamin E and which may function in the absorption, retention and prevention of destruction of d-ct-tocopherol, and perhaps in its transfer across cell membranes, thereby enhancing its biological activity in the blood and perhaps in the cells throughout the body.Item Mechanistic flexibility in the reduction of copper(II) complexes of aliphatic polyamines by mercapto amino acids(Texas Tech University, 1985-05) Anderson, Clinton HNot availableItem Study of the mechanisms of some reactions of t-butyl benzenethiolsulfinate(Texas Tech University, 1979-05) Ju, Tzu-LiNot availableItem The oxidation of biological mercaptans by the bis(2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline)copper(II) ion(Texas Tech University, 1984-05) Stevens, Gary DonNot availableItem The reactivity of nucleophiles toward and the site of nucleophilic attack on thiolsulfinates(Texas Tech University, 1979-08) Liu, Chao-Chuin AnthonyNot available
