Item A comparison of the purchasing practices and policies of a selected sample of Lubbock manufacturers with generally accepted practices(Texas Tech University, 1962-08) McKeehan, Willie DaleThe purpose of this study is to compare the purchasing practices and policies of a selected sample of Lubbock's manufacturers with generally accepted purchasing standards. In order to accomplish this purpose, it was necessary to undertake a threefold objective: (1) to carefully examine secondary sources such as books, periodicals, and other written material concerning the principles involved in correct purchasing practices and to summarize the policies, procedures, and principles which most authors advocate as highly desirable, if not completely essential, to an efficient purchasing department, (2) to secure information concerning the purchasing policies, procedures, and practices of a selected number of manufacturing firms located in Lubbock, Texas, by developing a questionnaire based on the information derived from the survey described above and presenting it to the purchasing agents of the selected firms, and (3) to compare the data acquired through the primary research described in step two with the information obtained from the secondary sources in step one in order to ascertain whether any discrepancies exist between the actual practices which are prevalent among the firms in Lubbock and the purchasing "ideals" advocated by the secondary sources.Item Climate action strategies for the University of Texas at Austin(2010-05) Hernandez, Marinoelle; Eaton, David J.; Walker, Jim H.This report analyzes the current greenhouse gas emissions inventory for The University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin), reviews the carbon reduction strategies being implemented at UT-Austin and other peer institutions, and offers recommendations for strategies that could reduce greenhouse gas emissions at UT-Austin in the future.Item Family purchase decision making: a case of new family formation in Korea(Texas Tech University, 1990-05) Kang, Suk-hou.Item Uncapacitated and capacitated dynamic lot size models for an integrated manufacturer-buyer production system(Texas Tech University, 2001-08) Chang, PiyenNot available
