Important nonparametric models for longitudinal data are introduced and model 'Fl- LD-FT is studied in detail. The hypotheses and test statistics for patterned group effect, patterned simple time effect and patterned pairwise interaction using model 'Fl-LD-Fr are introduced. They are used to test the efficacy of green tea polyphenols (GTP) in reducing the level of Aflatoxin Bl (AFBl) in blood samples and 8-hydroxy- 2'-deoxyguanosine(8-OHdG) in urine samples. The results of this research could be a way to improve the chemoprevention in liver cancer studies.application/pdfengLiver -- Cancer -- ResearchFactorial experiment designs -- MethodologyLiver -- Cancer -- PreventionStatisticsPolyphenolsAnalysis of longitudinal data using patterned nonparametric methods in the factorial experiments with application to liver cancer studiesThesis
