The conventional P-P wave mode data are compared with the converted wave P-SV mode. In addition, a newer converted wave mode, SV-P, was produced by a vertical vibrator source and recorded with only vertical geophones. This research is one of the first to determine the efficiency of this newer converted-mode, SV-P, seismic data.
