Tests for correlations between these components showed that the volumes of the nuclei pretectalis and corticalis are positively correlated, and that the nucleus pretectalis volume is positively correlated with brain volume. A possibly spurious positive correlation between the sizes of the nucleus pretectalis, nucleus corticalis, stratum opticum-stratum fibrosum et griseum superficiale and total body length was also obtained.application/pdfengChaetodontidaeFishes -- Sense organsA quantitative study of the optic system of butterflyfishes (Chaetodontidae)Thesis
