Admittedly, I still struggle with this, and I've seen this in the graduate students I've managed. I'd like to organize a BOAF specifically for graduate students to introduce themselves, highlight why they're getting their degree, share a project they're working on either in a professional position or from coursework, and have an opportunity to share their successes/challenges. My hope is that they'll feel more comfortable presenting with other graduate students who might have similar experiences and not feel as daunted.
