Abstract
Time study as generally employed is a technique for measuring the time required by a trained operator to perform a specific amount of production under standardized working conditions. Historically, time study was first introduced by the efforts of Frederick W, Taylor in I88I during his studies at the Midvale Steel Company in Philadelphia. From the time of Taylor*s contribution to the present, the practice of time study has steadily Improved "... until today it is recognized as a necessary tool for the effective operation of business or industry."
