Abstract
The study of psychological and social disturbances in children with brain dysfunction has grown rapidly in the last 25 years. Barsch (1962) cited a summary of research on brain injury by Klebanoff (1945) and pointed out that during the period from 1870-1945, there were only two studies of psychological disturbances in children with brain dysfunction. Less than a decade later Klebanoff, Singer, and Milensky (1954) made another summary of the literature and included a separate section on the studies of psychological disturbances in braininjured children.
