An elementary construction of M₀,₀ (Pr, d)

Abstract

This Thesis provides an elementary construction of the Moduli Space of Stable Maps M0,0(P r , d). It is constructed as a sequence of “weighted blowups along regular embeddings” of a projective variety. This is a corollary to a more general GIT construction that places M0,n(P r , d), P 1 [n], and M0,n into a single context.
