Newton's Map of cos (z)

In this thesis we examine the properties of two iterative roots finding methods applied to a complex function. These are Newton’s method and Householder’s method. In particular we find the fixed points of both iterations and we determine some of the dynamical properties related to the basins of attractions related to those fixed points.
