Abstract
The purpose of this investigation is to identify and validate a checklist of faculty administrative "standards of quality" associated whh major measures of administrative productivity at research univershies in the United States. Productivity measurements, which are a part of faculty performance assessment criteria, were established previously by a study conducted by Cooper (1991). This researcher intends to identify and validate "standards of quality" through the building of a checklist that operationalizes the respective standards of quality for each measure of administrative productivity. By surveying a large sample of academicians and administrators, their rating of the validity of the standards as well as the overall validity, comprehensiveness, and completeness of the checklist can be determined.
