Abstract
Description
Many academic institutions across Texas now maintain significant digital collections of resources. The Texas Digital Library "What is Digital Librarianship?" Interview Series aims to provide a snapshot of the vast array of roles and responsibilities taken on by the people who work with these digital collections. These interviews highlight professionals working at Texas Digital Library-affiliated institutions, exploring both the tasks that make up their day-to-day jobs and the larger challenges of working with digital collections. In this installment, Chloe Santiago talks with Daniel Alemneh, the Digital Curation Coordinator at the University of North Texas. The interview covers his work managing the Digital Curation Unity at UNT, open access, digital scholarship at UNT, the importance of collaboration, and digital library work within developing countries.
