Historical and archaeological research into the Singer store, a frontier Lubbock commercial venture

Abstract

The study is an application of historical and archaeological research to confirm the location of a late 19th century frontier store on the Southern High Plains of Texas in the vicinity of present-day Lubbock, Texas. Study is placed within the context of the late 19th century ranching frontier in northern Texas.
