Abstract
Description
As a consortium of Texas higher education institutions, the Texas Digital Library (TDL) consists of 22 member institutions from every region of Texas including public and private universities of various sizes and academic medical centers. While TDL hosts member institutions’ digital repositories through DSpace, there has not been a comprehensive survey of member institutions’ digital collections. With this project I will create a report that identifies collecting strengths across these institutions and use that information as a resource to highlight some of those collecting areas through a social media campaign and digital exhibit. Engagement through these online platforms will work to bring public awareness to Texas digital collections especially those of smaller institutions or that document underrepresented communities.
