Abstract

The automobile manufacturers of the United States produce millions of cars each year. The ability of these large corporations to produce not only more, but better, more beautiful cars year after year is the result of intensive study and experimentation by engineers, stylists, and others related to design and experimentation. Competition is high among the major manufacturers. To compete with their rivals, each producer must constantly strive for improvement in all phases of design and manufacture. The purpose of this problem is to create the best possible environment and facilities for the styling and engineering departments of one of these major automotive manufacturers, Chrysler Corporation. With this central design center it would be possible to better control over-all policy and development through-out the entire line of the Chrysler Corporation. The various automobiles of the Chrysler line have their own development and design departments. This central organization would work in conjunction with these other groups.
