    The repeated speech assignment: implications for public speaking pedagogy

    Abstract
    The Repeated Speech assigmnent is a pedagogical tool designed to improve the quality and understanding of the public speaking process. The researchers incorporated the concept of revision as derived form writing pedagogy into the basic public speaking course. The experimental group use revisions skills to repeat a persuasive speech while the control group uses the traditional public speaking format. Comparisons are made between the two groups speech grades to explore the benefits of the assigrmient and implications on public speaking pedagogy.
