Measurement of changes in teachers as indicators of stages of implementation of an innovation at an elementary school

Evaluation of innovative programs has often been conducted on programs which were implemented insufficiently for the innovation to be in effect. The extent an innovation is implemented and in effect is critical to any evaluation about the innovation itself. This study will seek to investigate and describe the level of innovation implementation and teacher concerns at Ella lies Elementary School in Lubbock, Texas. Two instruments, Stages of Concern Questionnaire and Level of Use Interview, were utilized to reveal the teachers' perceptions and their performance in the program. One other instrument, the Teacher Attitude Survey, was developed by the researcher to help establish the participants' agreement with the specific component parts of the lies innovation.
