Abstract

The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. As in the case of the man and the woman, a work of architecture loses that magical element when its pieces are studied seperately. Each peice has certain characteristics and a certain character which contribute to the work, but the architecture can't be fully experienced until all of the pieces are working together as one creation. The relationship between man and woman itself becomes a work of architecture. The man and the woman are the building materials that make up the architecture, and the charcteristics that make up each person are the characteristics that make a building material unique.
