Abstract

The purpose of this research is to do analysis for longitudinal data using nonparametric patterned study in factorial design with application to liver cancer data. Important nonparametric models for longitudinal data are introduced and model 'Fl- LD-FT is studied in detail. The hypotheses and test statistics for patterned group effect, patterned simple time effect and patterned pairwise interaction using model 'Fl-LD-Fr are introduced. They are used to test the efficacy of green tea polyphenols (GTP) in reducing the level of Aflatoxin Bl (AFBl) in blood samples and 8-hydroxy- 2'-deoxyguanosine(8-OHdG) in urine samples. The results of this research could be a way to improve the chemoprevention in liver cancer studies.
