Abstract

Description

Many academic institutions across Texas now maintain significant digital collections of resources. The Texas Digital Library "What is Digital Librarianship?" Interview Series aims to provide a snapshot of the vast array of roles and responsibilities taken on by the people who work with these digital collections. These interviews highlight professionals working at Texas Digital Library-affiliated institutions, exploring both the tasks that make up their day-to-day jobs and the larger challenges of working with digital collections. In this installment, Misha Coleman talks with Diane López, Scholarly Resources Librarian at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The interview covers the roles and responsibilities of an academic subject specialist librarian, research regarding human migration, identity, and community informatics, and effectively serving vulnerable populations.
