Abstract

Description

In 1944, the Oklahoma Flying Farmers organization was born at the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, which later became Oklahoma State University (OSU). The Flying Farmers had a direct impact on agricultural communities, where farmers and ranchers across the United States used airplanes as part of their farming operations. The organization is now international. With funding from the National Film Preservation Foundation, the OSU Library Archives successfully completed the preservation and access of the nitrate films by adapting a nimble workflow. This poster will promote the footage and show a snapshot of the process.
