Kimberly Grotewold Education Librarian, Texas A&M University - San Antonio Kimberly Grotewold holds a Master of Library Science (MLS) and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration (MSHE) degrees and has over fifteen years of experience working in libraries of various types: K-12 school, public, community college, and university. Additionally, she has taught English and social studies at the middle and high school levels. She has experience in online learning, both as a student and as a creator of online instructional content in the forms of guides, videos, modules, and interactive tutorials. Her professional and research interests include how learners search for, evaluate, and synthesize information; the multiple facets of digital equity; and the effectiveness of various learning technologies. dc.description.abstractHow can faculty become engaged - and more importantly - involved, in the use and promotion of OER? What kind of program will meet an important need and encourage long-term buy-in? How can faculty contribute to the enrichment and sustainability of OER so that it continues to grow and evolve? The answer is a community built around peer review. By incorporating a familiar and significant concept that faculty value in their own research and career paths, Texas State's Scholarly Communications Team developed a program that coupled rewarding professional benefit with a sense of community, professional knowledge, and continued learning.en_US
