Abstract

Texas Learn OER is a free and openly licensed self-paced training for faculty, staff, and administrators developed by OER Librarian Carrie Gits in partnership with the Digital Higher Education Consortium of Texas (DigiTex). The 10 online modules include information on understanding OER; open licensing, including Creative Commons; finding and evaluating OER; accessibility; adapting, creating, and sharing OER; and Texas legislation related to OER. The modules are intended for individuals who are new to OER, but also for those who want a refresher course. This session will provide an overview of Texas Learn OER, impact and outcomes so far, and plans for the future.
